Jen Maggiore Health & Wellness CoachI am the person that is going to help you live a healthier life, look and feel better, lose weight and have a ton more energy!  My name is Jen Maggiore and I am a recovering yoyo dieter with years of experience and now the official credentials to help you lose weight right and avoid the 15 years of failure that I went through. 

Currently I am certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer.  I started Fitness For Women in March of 2010 after spending years working with other trainers at different locations and becoming addicted to strength training and the effect it had on my body.  I have always been an exerciser, but after many years, I learned I really wasn’t doing it right.  After working with other trainers, I was hooked.  I had to get certified and help others that were struggling like I had.   So that’s what I did. 

For three years, I trained hundreds of clients watching them learn to exercise right and shrink before my very eyes.  Amazing right!  I loved it.  However there were still many clients that were struggling.  What I realized was that they needed nutrition advice.  Most had not idea what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat, and they were trying every crazy fad diet going down the same road that I did, gaining and losing over and over again.  Not good.  I had so much experience from yoyo dieting that over the years I developed not only a love of personal training, but a real passion for nutrition and how to feed and nourish your body.  I had to.  More than exercise, eating was always my struggle.  For many years, I had read every single diet book.  Not only diet books, but then I needed more on actual nutrition and food.  What was the optimal way to eat in order to lose weight?  What about different types of people?  Does one thing work for everyone?  No.  So I kept reading.  But I knew I needed more.  What was the next step?  

In 2012 I enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to get my official credentials as a health and nutrition coach focused in weight loss for women.  During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills, my knowledge of different dietary theories, and my experience in personal training and the fitness industry, I have developed 2 different life-changing programs.  Check them both out to see which is the best one for you.
